Aluminum Foil Scrap is considered one of the most valuable grades of Aluminum Scrap and can be available in three grades. They are

• New Aluminum Foil Scrap (ISRI Code TERSE)

• Post-Consumer Aluminum Foil Scrap (ISRI Code TESLA)

• New-Coated Aluminum Foil Scrap (ISRI Code TETRA)

ISRI code TESLA Aluminum Scrap consists of new, clean paper-thin shiny post-consumer Aluminum Foil Scrap of two or more alloys. Aluminum Foil Scrap has a thickness of less than 0.2 mm (7.9 mils); thinner gauges are 6 micrometers (0.24 mils).

Post-consumer Aluminum Foil Scrap consists of a maximum of 97% to 98% Aluminum content and remaining other metals such as Cu, Si, Fe, Mn, Mg, Zn, and Ti not exceeding over 0.05%.
